From being a teenager, Helen liked to sew. This was primarily brought about because her great aunt was the local dressmaker in Kirkby Stephen (Cumbria) and then two great needlework teachers at schools in Newcastle and Bicester continued to inspire what could be ...
The sewing never went away (nor the pins in the dining room … ouch!). There was a lot of dressmaking going on and then Helen made curtains and blinds for her home and created bags and small pouches/purses before venturing into quilt making. From there, Helen attended a screen-printing workshop and no fabric would ever be safe from print again.
Helen released her first fabrics in July 2017. Small ideas have seen themselves in print, some from printing from the hoop method and some from the larger scale print runs. Some designs come together very quickly and some take a little more time to come to fruition.
Fabric has found new homes all over the world! It is always amazing to see what people make with their fabrics.
